Band Together At StageOne
Local charity music group Band Together and the
Fairfield Theatre Company are providing a concert series to help the
community. Last Saturday evening marked another successful Band
Together event held at the Fairfield Theatre evening in support
Habitat’s For Humanity’s Youth United project in Bridgeport. Band
Together was formed by local musicians Rob Fried and Jerry Vigorito,
and local do gooder Gabrielle DiBianco to “help Connecticut families
one at a time”. The concert was sold out and standing room only
seats were sold the day of the event. Band Together’s March 31st
concert in support of Habitat was also sold out.
The concert was hosted by radio and TV personality Ann Karrick from
WEBE-108 and WICC. The theme was an Evening of Jazz and Rock Of The
60’s & 70’s from Miles Davis to Woodstock and Beyond. The show
featured rock legend Joe Bouchard, who played with Blue Oyster Cult
and The Spencer Davis Group, Max & Ira Stone, who played at the 1969
Woodstock festival, jazz and gospel great Chris Coogan, Butch
Taylor, Ronnie Ciccia, Rob Fried, Jerry Vigorito and The Bone Dry
Band. Special guests Diane Fried and Karen Casagrande provided
choreographed jazz dance. The feedback from the audience and
directors of the theatre is terrific. As one concert goer noted, It
was fabulous in every way, from the quality of the performances from
everybody, to the great guest appearances, to an excellently
creative mix of music! And it was for a great cause. Headliner Joe
Bouchard added,Dear Band Together Gang, it was my pleasure to do
this gig with you guys. You are so very professional and worked
tirelessly getting the thing organized. Can't wait to do it again.
Band Together’s vision is to create great musical events at StageOne
that are a lot of fun to attend and help unite the community of
fabulous musicians in the area with people and organizations
interested in channeling the funds raised to families that need a
helping hand. For more information contact the Fairfield Theatre at
